Plan My Party ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application that helps users plan parties and celebrations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address via email/password registration or Google Sign-In.

Party details: Information you provide when planning a party, including party dates, venue details, budget, and preferences.

Guest information: Names, contact details (phone numbers, email addresses), dietary requirements, accessibility needs, and RSVP status of guests you add.

Device information: Your device locale and region (used to set currency and date format preferences).

Contacts: If you choose to import guests from your phone contacts, we access your device contacts with your explicit permission. Contact data is only used to populate your guest list and is not shared with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the party planning service
• To generate AI-powered party suggestions and plans
• To send RSVP invitations to your guests on your behalf
• To personalise your experience (currency, date format)
• To process in-app purchases

3. AI-Generated Content

We use third-party AI services (OpenAI) to generate party concepts, plans, and shopping lists. Party details and guest dietary requirements may be sent to these services to generate personalised suggestions. No guest contact information (names, phone numbers, email addresses) is sent to AI services.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted data storage and secure authentication. We implement row-level security to ensure users can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — authentication and data storage
• Google Sign-In — optional social login
• OpenAI — AI-powered party plan generation
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase management
• Google Play Billing — payment processing

Each third-party service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with the third-party services listed above, as necessary to provide the app's functionality. Guest contact information is never shared with third parties except when you explicitly initiate a share action (e.g., sending an invitation via WhatsApp, SMS, or email).

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual parties and guest data within the app at any time. To request full account deletion, contact us using the details below.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for contacts access at any time via your device settings

9. Children's Privacy

Plan My Party is intended for use by adults planning parties. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app collects children's names and ages solely as party details provided by the parent or guardian organising the event.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
